This track was the flip side of 'Ride 'Em Cowboy', the first single to bring singer Paul Davis into the upper reaches of the Billboard charts.

Born in Meridian, Mississippi, Davis played in a few local bands and was a writer for Jackson, Mississippi's Malaco record label before being signed as a performer to the Bang record label in 1969.

After several successes in the 1970's with songs like 'I Go Crazy' and 'Sweet Life', Davis was the last artist active on the Bang label when it folded in '81.
He retired from making records later in the '80's.

Davis had just returned to recording his own songs prior to his death.
He died in Meridian, Mississippi, following a heart attack occuring one day after his 60th birthday, in April of this year.
